Venice it’s the main city and the capital of Veneto region and it’s famous for its canals, which exists because the city is constructed on 118 islands. Its geography offers impressive views, as the one shown in the picture.
A former powerful republic in the Middle Ages, today Venice has a bit more than 250.000 inhabitants, but attracts millions of tourists every year.
