Travel stoRy #23 – Jussi Björlingmuseet in Borlänge (Sweden)
Travel stoRy on Tuesday takes you today to the Jussi Björling Museum in Borlänge, a city in the central part of Sweden, in the region of Dalarna.
The museum is dedicated to Jussi Björling and it was opened in October 1994. More than 1.500 guests are visiting the museum every year. The exhibition of the museum is dedicated to the famous Swedish tenor which was born in this commune. The museum presents the story of the tenor through audio and video recordings and various documents.
Jussi Björling was a leading opera figure in the 20th century, singing, among other venues, at the Metropolitan Opera (New York), Royal Opera House (London) and La Scala (Milan).
