Sweden at EURO 2016 live at Friends Arena!
Football, or soccer if you want, is one of the major sports in the Swedish society, having more than 200.000 professional players and more than 8.000 teams. The national football team is part of the European Championship in France this year and the whole country is celebrating!
The international Swedish superstar, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is leading the national team to their sixth participation in the most prestigious continental tournament. This time, the Swedes are playing in the same group with the Republic of Ireland, Italy and Belgium.
The games are scheduled as follows:
1-1, Republic of Ireland, June 13, 18:00 at Stade de France, Saint-Denis
vs. Italy, June 17, 15.00 at Stadium Municipal, Toulouse
vs. Belgium, June 22, 21.00 at Allianz Riviera, Nice
All the games can be watched for free in Stockholm on big screens inside Friends Arena, the home stadium of the Swedish national football team. At the arena, you will be able to buy sweets, drinks and food from the food trucks.
The arena itself it’s worth visiting, being opened in 2012 and having 50.000 seats. The doors of the stadium open one hour and a half before every game. And one hour and fifteen minutes before each game you will be able to take part in a guided tour of the stadium, starting at gate Cx.
